Volunteering

Each family is required to volunteer 8 hours per family.  The volunteer of time greatly benefits the Becker Youth Baseball program and will make it a better and stronger program.  Each family must submit a volunteer check for $275.  This check will be destroyed at the end of the season if the 8 hours of volunteer time has been fulfilled.  The check will be cashed if the family does not fulfill the 8 hours hours of volunteer time.  There is no buy out option to encourage families to volunteer making the program a success.


BYBA will ask each player/family to be responsible for 8 hours of volunteer service. 

 The Jr. Ball program is required to volunteer fulfill 2 hours of volunteer time.

Volunteer Fee:
$275.00 -  Check will be destroyed after completing their assigned service. This check is due at registration and your child will not be able to play until all fees are paid in full.
 

$100.00- Junior ball only Each family with kids in only the Jr Ball program, must submit a volunteer check for $100.  This check will be destroyed at the end of the season if the required hours for the players family are fulfilled.  

Jersey Deposit
Each player from the In-House program is required to submit a $100 check as deposit for their jersey.  This jersey deposit check will be destroyed at the end of the season once it has been turned in and accounted for by the BYBA equipment manager.  A player CANNOT participate until the jersey deposit has been turned-in to the BYBA.

Gopher State Fee
If a player has been selected and accepts to play on a competitive team participating in the Gopher State League, it is required to pay an additional $100 fee.  A player CAN NOT participate until this fee has been paid. 

Family Discount/Max Cap
Families with three or more children playing in a BYBA program (not including Gopher State players) will not pay more than a total of $500 except for the following criteria:

** Discount only applies to regular baseball fees.  It does not apply to jersey or hats that need to be purchased, or deposit checks.  Please see our scholarship application if you need further assistance.
