BAC Fall Clean-up Day
October 17th 2021 8am-12pm

Please email: [email protected]
Any help during that time is appreciated!

Dear Baseball Families,

The Becker Youth Baseball Association will be holding a Fall Clean-up Day at the Becker Athletic Complex on Sunday October 17th from 8am-12pm.  We are asking for your help.  There are several tasks that are essential to preserve our fields and equipment for the off season.  These duties include: cleaning dugouts, raking fields, organizing the club house, moving pitching mounds, etc..

Any help you can offer between 8am-12pm would be greatly appreciated.

Please let us know if you can make it by emailing: [email protected]

(this will help us get an accurate head count)

On another note: the Becker Youth Baseball Association has undergone a major turnover this fall with 12 new members out of the 15 board positions.  Feedback from our parents and coaches are that our volunteer program has been challenging and that there is a lot of room for improvement.  Beginning in the 2022 season, our volunteer program will be completely overhauled with a new program called DIBS.  It will be organized in such a way that signing up and fulfilling volunteer hours are much easier.  We appreciate your patience and understanding during the transition to the new program.

We also invite you to our next board meeting scheduled for October 13th at 6pm at Angell’s Construction (14195 Bank St. Becker, MN 55308) if you would like to meet the new board members and/or to share any thoughts or comments regarding our baseball program.

Please reach out with any questions or concerns.

Each family is required to volunteer four hours of time that will benefit Becker Youth Baseball.  Each family must submit a volunteer check for $150.  This check will be destroyed at the end of the season if four hours of volunteer time has been fulfilled.  The check will be cashed if the family does not fulfill the four hours of volunteer time.  Each family also has the option to opt out of volunteering by paying an additional $75 while registering for a program.

Importance of Volunteering

Each year the Becker Youth Baseball program coaches, encourages and develops over 400 kids to become better at the game of baseball.  We would like to thank all of our Parent coaches over the years for their hard work and dedication to developing our kids and the program.  We want to continue to provide a safe and competitive environment for our kids, which would require some equipment upgrades and some minor field renovation at the BAC.  So in an effort to keep our registration costs down, the board has decided to put in place a volunteer program.

BYBA will ask each player/family to be responsible for 4 hours of volunteer service.  This is per family, so multiple youth families will only be required for 4 hours of volunteering.  The Jr. Ball program is exempt from the volunteer program

There will be 2 volunteer fee options:
$150.00 -
Check will be returned or destroyed after completing their assigned service.
$75.00 -  Parents/Family can select this opt-out option.  The $75.00 is a nonrefundable fee for those who feel they will be unable to volunteer during the season.

Areas for volunteering include:

  • Field maintenance
  • Coaching (Head Coach and One Assistant Coach Per Team)
  • BAC Spring/Fall clean-up day
  • Tournament Concessions
  • Clear Lake Lions Events

Volunteer hours must be completed by the end of thebaseball season.
