What's new for 2017?
- New in 2017 all 8 year-olds will be in 10U. 8 year-olds will have the ability to play on either a 9 competitive team (based on evaluations) or a 10U team with other 8-10 year-olds. Junior ball will now be for ages 4-5 (Tball) and 6-7 (Coach Pitch)
- Fees for Youth Baseball (8-18) have increased to $170 from $160. Becker Baseball strives to keep the registration cost as low as possible, but due to the continued expense of Community Education fees and increased competitive costs of quality umpires, a price increase was necessary.
Players will need to register within their baseball age division. If a participant is planning on playing in an older division, it will be
taken care of during evaluations. For example, if your child is 11 years old and is in 7th grade, but would like to play with 12 year olds, they will be placed on a team at that older division. For evaluations, it is important that participants evaluate with the age group that they intend to play with so their scores can be taken into account for the competitive teams. If you have any issues or questions about registration please contact BYBA at:
Your baseball age is the age your are on May 1, 2017. Players will be placed in a division based on their baseball age. For example, a player who turns 12 on April 29 cannot play in the 11 year old division. However, a player can always play up one division. For example, a player who turns 12 on April 29 can play on an age 13 division team. If a player qualifies or is picked for a travel team they will be contacted by a coach or board member. Players who qualify and choose to play on a travel team will be required to pay an additional $50 before they can practice or play with their team.
